Recent Enhancements

I've been working pretty much non-stop adding in requested and planned enhancements since the new version came out and I posted the latest version 5.2.06 yesterday. Here is a laundry list of things I've added in or patched.

FileMaker 12 Issues

Hi all, I've converted Indie Band Manager to run using the new FileMaker 12 and everything else appears to be working fine, but apparently there's some sort of bug in the code on Filemaker Inc.'s end because I can't get it to import data from the previous versions of Indie Band Manager, so I'm holding off on posting it for download, sorry about that.

2 Days of Solid Programming

It's Sunday night, after 10:30pm, and I'm pretty tired. I got back from Wisconsin with the kids on Friday night just after 9pm and then I spent the last two days programming pretty much non-stop from 6am until 10pm both days. I over-did it a bit really, but I'm really crushing to get this new version out so everyone can use the free iPad and iPhone apps that FileMaker Inc. released last Tuesday.

Exciting Unexpected Development - The Free iPad/iPhone app...

On Tuesday of this week FileMaker Inc. surprised me a bit by releasing a new version of FileMaker Pro, which is the software I use to make Indie Band Manager. The thing that they've done that changes EVERYTHING for us is that they've made the iPhone/iPad versions (called FileMaker Go) FREE on the iTunes store.

The New Indie Band Manager is here.

Well, I finally did it, I've released a new version of Indie Band Manager, my first since 2008, and it ROCKS.

Todays feel good note from an adoring fan...

Multiuser access to your Indie Band Manager files over the web...

Hey folks, here's a tutorial on how to set up multi-user access for your Indie Band Manager files over the internet, pretty cool stuff!

I've separated the tutorial into three quicktime mp4 movies... steps one, two, and three. Each movie is only a couple minutes long.

In a nutshell, you need to install FileMaker Pro (a 30 day trial version is available for free download), open the Indie Band Manager 1Menu5 file with FileMaker, and it pretty much runs on its own, it's awesome. You do need to configure your router's forwarding ports too, but I detailed that in video three.
